Thanks for the comment and the feedback. I completely agree, I wouldn't just say that at a dinner party either. Ultimately you have to figure out what works for you and put anything that you say into your own language or tone. Whatever sounds authentic to you. "what's top of mind," can translate to different words for different people in different contexts, the key thing here is to put the focus on your direct report if there's anything they need to get off their chest, or work through. To focus on whatever is at the forefront of their thoughts right now, so that you can address it and move past it and work through it. I think as leaders we need to adopt the coaching mindset, and work to coach , empower and ensure the success of our teams. I love hearing your perspective thanks so much for the comment!
